Construction Standards and Methodology of Prestressed Circular and Composite Post-Tensioned Rectilinear Tanks
This presentation will include the history, design, and construction methods of prestressed concrete tanks for water and wastewater storage and treatment. Also examined will be CROM latest innovation, CROM squared, which applies many of the same design concepts from circular prestressed concrete tanks and applies them to straight wall tanks. The benefits of both tank technologies, such as the composite tank wall, shotcrete core wall, and residual compression of the wall, will be discussed and how these concepts are advantageous to the Owner, Engineer, and Contractor. Lastly, a portion of the presentation will highlight the CROM services division, which covers inspections, restorations, and improvements to existing water infrastructure.
